The article describes the features of the Doppler echo sounders while operating in the Arctic seas. The design features of the ice-breaking Arc7 LNG gas tanker regarding to the installation of echo sounder antennas, as well as the constructive reasons for signal noise, are considered. An analysis is presented on how to adjust the filtering parameters of the echo signal for stable operation of the device at various depths and types of the bottom.
