DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR OPERATION MODE SELECTION AND FAILURES FORECASTING OF MAIN MARINE DIESEL ENGINE

Abstract (English):
According to the International Maritime Organization, an urgent scientific problem is development of methods for reducing influence of the “human element” on management of a ship's power plant and ship using technical décision-support tools. Therefore, an important direction of increasing reliability and efficiency of main marine diesel engines’ technical operation is development and integration of intelligent systems that allow using monitoring results and automate procedures for solving operational problems for the information support of the operator in making decisions. To solve complex problems of main marine diesel engines technical operation, models, algorithms and software have been proposed and scientifically justified, which make it possible at a qualitatively new level to use reserves of actual technical condition and optimization methods to select operation mode, prevent and forecast failures.
