OPERATIONAL RELIABILITY EVALUATION OF OFFSHORE STRUCTURESUSING CATHODE PROTECTION POWEREDBY SOLAR PANELS

Abstract (English):
An operational reliability assessment of marine hydraulic structures using cathodic protection powered by solar panels was conducted. The reliability of metal structures was assessed by the degree of corrosion wear using the example of a sheet pile wall of the type Earsen 4, the corrosion rate of which was determined by the results of corrosion tests of samples with various options for cathodic protection powered by solar panels. Hie results showed that the use of cathodic protection powered by solar panels can significantly increase the durability of offshore hydraulic structures at low economic cost related to other methods of implementing cathodic protection.
