ANALYSIS OF DEPENDENCES OF THE CYLINDER TEMPERATURE OF GAS-PISTON ENGINES ON THE POWER DELIVERED TO CONSUMERS BY DRIVEN ELECTRIC GENERATORS

Abstract (English):
In the paper discusses an important operational aspect of the dependence of the cylinder temperature on the nature of the load of the slave generator. The most sensitive parameter turned out to be the reactive component of the power delivered by the generator to the load. An increase in the thermal efficiency of gas-piston auxiliary generators can be ensured by flexible compensa-tion of reactive power supplied to ship consumers. The article deals with gas piston generators MWM TCG 2020 V12 manufactured by MWM GmbH (Germany), with a rated power of 1200 kW and a frequency of 50 Hz.
