TWO STROKE DIESEL ENGINES COMPRESSION POLYTROPIC INDEX AND COMPRESSION RATIO DETERMINATION
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The present publication illuminate the tasks as follows: Piston top land inverted part volume calculation, cylinder total volume in TDC (compression chamber total volume) calculation, cylinder total volume at compression stroke beginning calculation and then as the result compression ratio & compression polytropic index calculation for two–stroke internal combustion engines (diesel engines). Precisely calculated mentioned above values are very useful for engineering calculations of the diesel engines heat–transfer, heat balance and undisassembled diagnostics

Keywords:
Piston top land inverted part volume, cylinder total volume at TDC (compression chamber total volume), cylinder total volume at compression stroke beginning, compression ratio, compression polytropic index
