Abstract (English):
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is considered one of the most effective water filtration methods, which creates clean fresh water. RO systems are used in a variety of applications, including filtration for ships, houses, faucets, aquariums. Reverse osmosis systems is one of the modern methods used by the shipping industry to produce fresh water from sea water. By using this method of water production we are not using a waste heat source, unlike fresh water generator. In this article the readers can discover how a Reverse Osmosis system is working and how it was upgraded, for a bigger amount of water production. The article major points are: 1. RO working principles; 2. Design Parameter of the RO in order to upgrade it from 400 to 500 m³/d; 3. Component descrip-tion; 4. Performance Diagrams and Water Quality; 5. Conclusions
