Abstract (English):
Maritime transport is one of the sources of chronic pollution of the marine environment, which can cause ir-reparable harm to easily vulnerable nature. At the present stage of fleet development, considerable attention is paid to environmental protection. The classification of harmful emissions is carried out and the level of their relative intensity is estimated. Currently, the problem of toxicity of emissions from power plants is extremely acute. The main methods of reducing the toxicity of exhaust gases are analyzed. The management of exhaust gas toxicity of marine power plants is a rather complex process that requires further analysis and the use of new approaches in the layout of cleaning equipment and the application of new automation schemes
