THE USE OF CORRELATION METHODS OF OPTICAL FLOW ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE THE HULL SHIFTS ALONG THE PIER FACILITIES

Abstract (English):
The article describes the mathematical basis of correlation methods of analysis of optical flow to determine the parameters of hull’s shifts and it’sposition at the current moment while moored at the berth. The possibility to use elements of machine or computer vision in order to increase the safety of maritime transport processes was analyzed. The choice of phase correlation for digital images analysis acts as a basis for accurate measurements by an automatic optical measurement system.
