In accordance with the concept of the development of sea and river transport of the Russian Federation for the period until 2020, the priority task of increasing the competitiveness of the industry is the task of informatization based on the creation and use of new information systems, which could not have been important before. Advances in computer technology, communications, telecommunications and information technology, mathematical methods and software have created the necessary prerequisites for improving transportation and fleet management. Today we are witnessing the creation of corporate information systems for operational fleet management (KISUF) in a number of shipping companies (IC).
