Abstract (English):
The results of any simulation of the movement of a vessel during complex maneuvering cannot be considered reliable if the mathematical model of the vessel that is used in these simulations does not take into account all known force loads that accompany the simulated maneuvering. First of all, this statement refers to power loads characteristic of the conditions of the open sea. These power loads should primarily include wind and wave loads, which are most likely present during the performance of a number of ship's key operations in the specified conditions. If the task of evaluating the possibility of using one or another method of controlling the movement of the vessel in the process of maneuvering is being solved, then the reliability of the results of the simulation of the movement of the vessel can be at least questioned. In this regard, in particular, an algorithm for calculating the forces of wave drift has been developed, which is necessary to take into account the wave effect on the ship.
