The article deals with the problem of the professional culture of a marine engineer in a foreign language envi-ronment of communication. The necessity of its formation in the conditions of mastering typical tasks of pro-fessional work is shown, the features and dynamics of its development in the maritime university using com-puter technologies are studied. The results of the experiment conducted on a sample of 107 graduate cadets of the Admiral Ushakov State Maritime University engineering department were analyzed using the following diagnostic tools: questionnaires, tests, role-playing and business games. The analysis of the data obtained showed that computer support provides opportunities to form professional culture of marine engineer in a for-eign language environment
